La Canadienne wool jacket
Very limited drop
An exceptional wool winter jacket from the vintage junkies at Fleurs de Bagne!
The classic Canadienne jacket was originally made in French Canada in the early 1900s as a robust and warm jacket for the sometimes harsh inland winters. It became popular in France in the 1940s and 1950s, not least from being worn by Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondi in the movie ”Un singe en hiver”.
The jacket is made from traditional Burel – an wool fabric which has been valued since at least the early middle ages for its warmth, toughness and resistance to water.
