The tough ventile canvas was developed by the British Royal Air Force in the 1940s to equip pilots with light, breathable and hard-wearing clothing, that could be made water-repellent. (Because England, you know.)

These Fleurs de Bagne shorts borrow their shape from the trousers worn by British submariners. A short and loose military cut for ease of movement.The waist has an elasticated support at the back and a drawstring front. Finished with a zip fly, three-button flap, two French pockets, one back pocket and a large bellows cargo pocket on the front left leg, perfect for tools, phones, contraband or an emergency sandwich.
