Camargue Riding Pants ”Amazon”
The Camargue horsewomen – “the Amazons of Provence” – were women in Provence who were known for their exceptional riding skills and participation in local militias, often taking on roles traditionally held by men in defense of their communities.
The Camargue riding pants were designed for the Camargue horsewomen for maximum mobility and to tolerate intense horseback riding. And like so many other originally utilitarian clothes, they soon found their way into the line of timeless classics.
The Camargue riding pants are made in a very strong moleskin, with reinforced gussets, a narrow waist and a wide-leg silhouette – like a long skirt in disguise!
