Cotton/Linen Craftsman Summer Pants – Beige

These work pants are based on the traditional ”Largeot” first designed by Adolphe Lafont in 1896. While the originals were made in heavy corduroy, these are made in a cotton/linen ”metis” fabric. Metis means ”mix” in French, and this type of fabric has been used in work clothes for centuries. Like corduroy, it is extremely hard-wearing, but not quite as warm, which is why craftsmen preferred them during summer.

• Semi-high waist
• “Demi ballon” – loose in the thighs, tighter around the ankles
• 2 side pockets, one buttoned back pocket, one small waist pocket, one leg pocket
• Button-fly with metal hook
• Made in France by Le Laboureur, since 1955
