This ”Cotentin” wool sweater from Saint James has been made for truck drivers since the 1970s. As truck drivers, “camionneurs” often step in and out of their trucks, they needed a practical work sweater that would keep them warm when outside – but not too warm when driving.

The solution was a half-cardigan with a zipped turtleneck collar. When you’re cold you zip it up. When you’re warm you zip it down. No struggling in and out of sweaters. And no buttons that get caught or fall off. A very convenient – and stylish! – way to stay comfortable in most weathers. Pair it up with some corduroy or moleskin pants for that charmingly rugged, ”on the road” look.
