Crew Sweater in Merino Wool

This sweater is inspired by French 1880s crew sweaters and is knitted from an un-bleached, off-white wool also called ”Aran” after the Aran islands off the Irish west coast where it originated.

A crew sweater is simply a sweater with a crew neck – a colla-less and round neckline that fits closely around the base of the neck. It was originally a part of the uniforms of rowing teams and then migrated to mens’ casual wardrobe.
